Optimising Brain Health & Focus in a Digital World

WORKSHOPS

LIVE ONLINE WORKSHOP WITH RITA CASTANHITO, WELLNESS CONSULTANT, NATUROPATHIC NUTRITIONIST

Optimising Brain Health & Focus in a Digital World is a practical, science-informed talk designed for the general public living in today’s fast-paced, screen-heavy environment. The presentation explains, in clear and accessible language, how daily habits directly influence brain function, focus, emotional balance, and long-term cognitive health.

Participants will gain an understanding of how the brain is affected by constant digital stimulation and why issues such as brain fog, poor concentration, mental fatigue, sleep disturbances, and stress have become increasingly common. The session introduces a holistic brain-health framework that integrates nutrition, movement, sleep, mental training, and modern neurotechnology.

The talk explores how food fuels the brain, drawing on principles from Kamalaya’s Brain Enhancement approach and insights from Lisa Mosconi’s Brain Food, highlighting simple dietary choices that support memory, focus, and mood. The gut–brain connection is explained in an easy-to-understand way, showing how digestion and mental clarity are closely linked.

In this workshop, you will learn:

  • A clear understanding of how lifestyle choices affect brain health
  • Practical tools to improve focus, mental energy, and emotional balance
  • Simple, realistic habits that can be applied immediately
  • A holistic view of brain optimisation suitable for everyday life

SATURDAY, 28 FEBRUARY, 2026, 16:30 (GMT +7)

Session Duration: 60 minutes

Description

What to expect:

This session empowers participants to take an active role in protecting and enhancing their brain health in a digital world, using evidence-based strategies that are both effective and sustainable.

Participants will learn how specific types of physical movement protect and strengthen the brain, why mental challenges build long-term cognitive resilience, and how quality sleep acts as the brain’s primary repair and regeneration system. The presentation also introduces neurofeedback and EEG in a non-technical way, explaining how brain training can support focus, calmness, creativity, and emotional regulation.

Mind–body practices such as meditation and breathing techniques (pranayama) are presented as accessible tools for calming the nervous system and improving attention. The restorative benefits of nature are highlighted as a powerful yet often overlooked strategy for mental clarity and stress reduction. Finally, practical focus strategies inspired by Finding Focus by Dr. Zelana Montminy are shared to help participants manage digital distractions and protect their attention in daily life.
